Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers awarded Larsen & Toubro a Rs 797 crore order to revamp its Thal ammonia plant.
L&T won it on lowest tender and has 36 months to run engineering through to commissioning. The revamp targets lower specific energy consumption, which is the dominant cost line in ammonia.

RCF's board approved raising up to about Rs 1,500 crore through a fresh-issue further public offering, and proposed amending its object clause to enable asset monetisation via REITs, InvITs and SPVs.
The FPO is a fresh equity issue subject to shareholder and government approvals, so it reads as a capital-raising and balance-sheet-flexibility move that also carries a near-term dilution overhang.
