Texmaco Rail

The scope covers design, manufacture, supply and commissioning of Wabtec ES43ACi 4,500 horsepower locomotives, to be executed within 20 to 24 months. This is the locomotive portion of the larger South African package worth about 425 million dollars that Texmaco won in May 2026, which also covers more than 2,235 freight wagons and a 15 year maintenance partnership. The award firms up part of that earlier win rather than adding a separate one.
