Syrma SGS Elemaster, the joint venture between Syrma SGS Technology and Italy's Elemaster Group, opened a high reliability electronics plant in Bengaluru.
The 20,000 square foot facility at Bommasandra carries surface mount, through hole and box build assembly lines, and targets railways and transportation, industrial electronics, energy and medical electronics. The joint venture was signed about a year ago, so this is the plant reaching production rather than a fresh announcement. High reliability work carries a different margin structure and a longer qualification cycle than volume contract manufacturing.
