SRF's board cleared 250 crore rupees for a BOPET thick film line, adding 25,000 tonnes a year of capacity.
Thick film sits above commodity packaging film in the value chain, in industrial and specialty uses. SRF already runs large thin film capacity, so this widens the mix rather than deepening it. The board declared a 5 rupee interim dividend the same day.
