Food safety authorities partially suspended the licence of the Sayaji Hotel Indore unit on 21 August after an inspection found rat droppings, cockroaches and 66 kg of unlabelled non-vegetarian stock.
The kitchen was sealed and vegetarian and non-vegetarian food had been stored in the same compartment. The company filed a writ petition and the Madhya Pradesh High Court stayed the suspension on 22 August, so operations continue. The inspection record stands regardless of the stay.
