Natural rubber prices climbed to a record 267 rupees per kg on global supply disruption and tight domestic availability, raising input costs across the tyre industry.
Rubber is roughly a third of tyre raw-material cost, so the spike squeezes margins at MRF, Apollo Tyres and CEAT unless they push through price hikes.
