MOIL produced 1.81 lakh tonnes of manganese ore in September, 19.1% more than a year earlier, and sold 1.64 lakh tonnes, up 15.5%.
The half year is far flatter, with production at 9.61 lakh tonnes against 9.44 lakh a year earlier. That is 37% of the 25.85 lakh tonne target for the full year.
02 Oct 2026
MOIL raised manganese ore prices 5% across all grades from 1 October.
It had cut prices 4% to 5% in August and held them flat through September, so this reverses two months of weakness. Electrolytic manganese dioxide stays at Rs 1.80 lakh a tonne.
01 Aug 2026
MOIL cut manganese ore prices again from 1 August 2026, taking ferro grades with Mn 44 percent and above down 4 percent and other grades down 5 percent.
Other ferro grades, chemical grades, SMGR and fines fall 5 percent, while EMD and EMD flake prices are unchanged. This is the fourth downward revision since May, after the increases MOIL put through in April, and a monthly administered price is the cleanest read available on where alloy demand actually sits.
