Lupin received US FDA approval for Sodium Zirconium Cyclosilicate for Oral Suspension in 5 gram and 10 gram packets, bioequivalent to AstraZeneca's Lokelma.
The reference brand did 568 million dollars of US sales in the twelve months to June 2026, and this is Lupin's second US approval inside a fortnight after Sugammadex on 31 July.

Both candidates posted positive data at ASCO in 2025 and 2026. The spin-out moves expensive late-stage trials off the parent balance sheet while Lupin keeps most of the upside.
