L&T Finance's retail disbursements rose about 27% to Rs 24,000 crore in the September quarter and its retail book grew 29% to Rs 1.34 lakh crore.

Gold finance did the heavy lifting, jumping to Rs 3,230 crore from Rs 983 crore a year earlier, while rural business finance was flat at Rs 6,350 crore against Rs 6,316 crore.
