JK Paper started commercial production at its new BCTMP hardwood pulp plant today.
In-house pulp cuts reliance on bought-out pulp. It supports the company's paperboard expansion. This lands a day after the DGTR's anti-dumping call on Indonesian paperboard.

The DGTR recommended an anti-dumping duty on virgin multi-layer paperboard imported from Indonesia, a positive read-through for domestic producers including JK Paper, ITC, Emami Paper Mills and Tamil Nadu Newsprint.
Domestic producers gain pricing room if cheaper imports are curbed, though a final duty still awaits the finance ministry's notification.
