IndiGo swung to a 382 crore rupee net loss in the June quarter, from a 2,160 crore rupee profit a year earlier.
Fuel costs jumped 85.7 percent to 10,833 crore rupees after the Iran conflict spiked oil prices. Revenue still rose 20 percent to 24,584 crore rupees, but forex moves and disrupted Middle East routes added to the squeeze. A quarterly loss is rare for the market leader and shows how exposed airline margins stay to fuel.
