GE Aerospace shipped three more F404-IN20 engines to HAL for the Tejas Mk1A, taking total deliveries to 10.
The 2021 contract covers 99 engines and is worth 5,375 crore rupees, so 10 deliveries is a tenth of the order after years of delay.

HAL signed the final contract with Safran Helicopter Engines for the Aravalli engine through their SAFHAL joint venture.
The signing moves SAFHAL from an agreement to actual development and production. The engine is aimed at the 13-tonne Indian Multi-Role Helicopter class, an airframe that does not yet fly, so the revenue follows the helicopter programme rather than leading it. No contract value was disclosed.

HAL filed a cheating and forgery FIR against Hyderabad supplier Tec Aero Devices over 199 forged test reports for Tejas Mk1A components.
HAL had already blacklisted the firm until March 2027, so the criminal case signals tighter supply-chain scrutiny as Tejas Mk1A deliveries run late.
