Gujarat Ambuja Exports reported first quarter standalone net profit of 176.93 crore rupees against 65.4 crore, with EBITDA margin at 14.55 percent against 7.46 percent.
Revenue rose 23.5 percent to 1,594.27 crore rupees while EBITDA rose to 200 crore from 96.3 crore, so profit grew about seven times faster than revenue. The margin doubled on the maize processing division, which makes this a spread story rather than a volume story.
