The National Green Tribunal's western zone bench dismissed all three appeals challenging the environmental and forest clearances for GHCL's greenfield soda ash project in Kutch.
The order was pronounced in open court on 21 August and the detailed judgment is not yet uploaded. The plant is a 500,000 tonne per annum greenfield addition at Bada village in Mandvi taluka. The ruling removes a legal overhang on the company's largest capacity project rather than adding anything to current earnings.
