Gandhar Oil Refinery told the exchanges its Silvassa plant is disrupted after flash flooding, with the production hit still being assessed.
Unit 2 at Naroli, Silvassa, was hit by severe waterlogging after Silvassa recorded 740 millimetres of rain in 24 hours on 22 and 23 July. Management is still evaluating the damage to assets, plant operations and production capacity. The company holds insurance cover for the risk and has notified its insurer, and containment and recovery are under way. No quantum yet, so the earnings impact is open.
