Gabriel India signed the joint venture and share purchase agreements to acquire 30 percent minus one share in HL Klemove India for about Rs 948 crore.
The board approved the proposal on 21 July. Today converts it into executed contracts, with completion set for 24 August, after which HL Klemove India becomes an associate. The target makes radar, front cameras, LiDAR, automated driving and parking control units, ADAS software and brake and steering electronics. The JV board runs ten members, six nominated by HL Klemove and four by Gabriel, so Gabriel buys exposure to autonomous driving hardware without operating control.

Gabriel India unveiled Project Jupiter, a 3,166 crore rupee plan to buy into two Korean-linked auto parts makers.
It takes 28.99 percent of HL Mando Anand for 2,231 crore rupees, mostly through a share swap, and 30 percent of HL Klemove for about 935 crore rupees in cash. Mando makes steering, braking and suspension systems, while Klemove adds radars, cameras and driver-assist software. The deal turns a shock-absorber maker into a wider mobility supplier that sells more content per car.
