Zomato has begun charging a separate fee of at least Rs 5 on cash-on-delivery orders, with bills in some cities showing up to Rs 20.
The charge is separate from the platform fee and applies only when the customer pays cash, so it adds a revenue line while pushing orders toward prepaid and cutting cash-handling cost.
