Bharti Airtel raised postpaid tariffs by Rs 50 across plans from 8 October, taking the entry individual plan to Rs 499 from Rs 449.

The rise works out to about 3% to 11% by plan, and each plan now bundles a free five-day international roaming pack a year. Prepaid prices, the larger base, are unchanged so far.

Airtel Money announced its intention to float on the London Stock Exchange main market through a sale of existing shares.

The offer is sized near 800 million dollars for a free float of at least 10 percent, with the IFC committing 67.2 million pounds. The unit earned 1.3 billion dollars of revenue in the year to March 2026.

It received its RBI registration certificate in February 2026. The go-live pushes Airtel deeper into financial services. It widens the group's digital and payments footprint beyond telecom.

Bharti Airtel added 2.93 million wireless subscribers in May, the most of any operator, against Reliance Jio's 2.15 million, per TRAI data.

Airtel keeps out-adding Jio on net users even after tariff hikes, a sign its premium, higher-paying base is still expanding; it sits at 483.81 million users to Jio's 501.44 million.

Bharti Airtel completed the purchase of about 16.3% of Airtel Africa from promoter entity ICIL, lifting its effective stake in the UK-listed subsidiary to around 79%, and allotted 14.67 crore new shares at Rs 1,923 each to fund the roughly Rs 28,220 crore share swap.

Consolidating control of the Africa business simplifies the group structure and routes more of that unit's growth back to the listed Indian parent.
